Engineering Governance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Governance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for executing, operationalizing and continually improving engineering policies and standards.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and uplift engineering standards and frameworks, ensuring consistent, efficient and compliant engineering practices across the organization.

Your key deliverables will include:

  • Lifecycle Management: Execute and maintain the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering standards, including documentation, communication and technical enforcement.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering, architecture, security and governance teams to implement and uplift engineering standards and frameworks.
  • Repository Management: Operate and evolve central repositories for standards, approved technologies and related documentation.
  • Communication: Coordinate regular content for communications channels to ensure standards and changes are visible and understood across the organization.
  • Risk Management: Support technology radar and RFC processes, enabling engineers to propose, review and adopt new technologies and practices.
  • Evaluation: Track adoption and effectiveness of standards, identifying opportunities for improvement and enhanced assurance.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong technology background with an understanding of engineering principles, standards and best practices.
  • Proactivity, a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to take ownership of initiatives from conception to operationalization and iteration.
  • The ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and be a strong advocate for driving change.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor, as well as part of a multi-stakeholder working environment on large initiatives with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with Agile ways of working, including tooling such as Jira & Confluence.
  • Demonstrated risk management mindset.
