Senior Software Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team on a fixed-term contract.

You will be embedded on-site, working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and modernise enterprise software applications.

You will be instrumental in re-architecting existing applications and delivering new solutions leveraging cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on Azure and AWS.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead application re-architecture initiatives, transitioning from on-premises to cloud environments.
  • Design and implement robust APIs for integration and performance.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and stakeholders within an Agile environment.
  • Manage software deployments, pipelines, and releases through DevOps tools.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Apply programming best practices, including unit and integration testing.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation in line with organisational standards.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers when required.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong background in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET.
  • Proven experience designing and integrating APIs.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines and artefacts.
  • Proficient in Git version control.
  • Experience with relational databases and ORMs like Entity Framework and Dapper.
  • Solid understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and application performance optimisation.
  • Strong knowledge of unit and integration testing practices.
  • Desirable if you have experience with VB.NET, PowerShell, Python, cloud engineering in Azure or AWS, and Angular/AngularJS.
