Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a key member of our service, you will have the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and provide high-quality therapy services.

The organisation is committed to providing quality services in rural and remote communities in North Queensland and across Australia. Our clinics are located in Cairns, Townsville, Ayr, Charters Towers and Mackay, and we also offer an active telehealth service. This allows us to efficiently deliver therapeutic services effectively for the greatest benefit of clients in urban, regional and rural locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality and cost-effective services to all people seeking and receiving a service.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised plans and reports following company policy and procedures within specified timeframes.
  • Contribute to research and the development, implementation and review of initiatives for the provision of professional services.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policy and procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Foster high-quality relationships with referrers, parents, clients and other stakeholders in the community.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary degree or higher qualification from a recognised University in Occupational Therapy.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, including effective communication (written and verbal), negotiation, leadership, conflict resolution and teamwork skills.
  • Innovative approach to client service delivery and organisational improvement.
  • Able to demonstrate and encourage teamwork.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder relationship builder.
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening).
