Senior Transport Engineer Role

We are working with a council in Melbourne's Inner North to recruit a Senior Transport Engineer for an initial 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days per week office-based and the remainder working from home.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to join our team as a Senior Transport Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing, assessing, and developing traffic management plans
  • Conducting parking studies
  • Managing transport projects
  • Stakeholder engagement/management
  • Supporting junior traffic Engineers

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualifications/experience
  • A Traffic/Transport Engineer, ideally with experience in Victorian Local Government
  • Previous experience reviewing TMPs
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct traffic investigations/studies
  • A solid understanding of traffic engineering principles and practices
  • Experience managing traffic/transport projects
  • A commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • A current driver's license

Estimated annual salary: $100,000 - $120,000 based on industry standards and the location.
