Job Summary

The Manager Maintenance and Grounds is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of maintenance and grounds operations across multiple sites in South Australia and Victoria.

About the Role

This position requires a strong background in trade skills or equivalent experience in maintenance, building, or facilities management. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in multi-site operations, with a solid understanding of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards, compliance requirements, and contractor management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support multi-disciplinary maintenance and grounds teams across various locations to ensure seamless operational performance.
  • Oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance activities to guarantee safe, functional, and well-presented environments.
  • Maintain high standards in landscaping, site presentation, and contractor performance through effective monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant OHS, legislative, and regulatory requirements to safeguard employees, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on minor works and capital projects to deliver timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Manage procurement, budgets, and reporting processes to optimize efficient and accountable operations.
Requirements
  • A trade qualification or equivalent experience in maintenance, building, or facilities management.
  • Proven leadership experience in multi-site operations, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or community service environments.
  • A strong understanding of OHS standards, compliance requirements, and contractor management.
  • A current Australian driver's license and willingness to travel between sites across South Australia and Victoria.
