Job Description:

Our maritime structural engineering team is seeking an experienced professional to join our national marine facility design and planning activities. This exciting opportunity will involve collaboration with various industries, including defence, local government, and sustainability. You will leverage your existing experience across these different sectors and gain exposure to new and intriguing projects.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering conceptual designs through to construction phase support. This technical role offers opportunities for leadership, project management, and business development. Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel in the marine environment
  • Design, evaluation, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures
  • Design of berthing and mooring systems
  • Structural analysis software skills (SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica)
  • Experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or Defence sector
  • Australian and international design codes and guidelines knowledge
  • Mentorship and guidance skills to enhance staff capabilities
  • Project management and design management skills for small maritime projects
