We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Practitioner to join our team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network as an Older Person Care Specialist.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated medical professional to contribute to the development of innovative care models for older adults. As part of our dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with geriatricians, general practitioners, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

You will have the opportunity to manage and oversee the treatment of patients within our service, participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives and engaging in ongoing educational activities to enhance your expertise and that of your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality medical care to older adults, including medical assessment, medication management, and acute deterioration management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care models and case-conference to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Collaborate with geriatricians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in geriatric medicine, with experience in managing complex medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.

  • A competitive salary range of $89,253 to $144,291 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
