Senior Legal Counsel Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected global business and play a strategic role in its high-performing, collaborative in-house legal team.

You'll work closely with the General Counsel providing commercial and pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of matters that directly impact business operations.

How will this role develop your career?

You'll join a legal function that genuinely invests in its people. The legal leadership team prioritises mentoring and development, giving you hands-on exposure to business-critical legal work and the opportunity to refine your commercial thinking.

Whether your background is in private practice or in-house, you'll build on your existing strengths while developing deeper expertise across contracts, employment law, privacy, disputes, competition law, regulatory issues, and more.

There is a clear pathway to more senior roles, supported by a culture that values initiative, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

What type of person will be successful?

We're looking for a capable and commercially-minded lawyer who enjoys being part of a business and contributing to its success. You will ideally have:

  • At least 5 years' PQE in corporate and commercial law.
  • A background in private practice or in-house (litigation or transactional).
  • A current Victorian practising certificate.
  • Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive, practical and commercially driven mindset.
