About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Sydney. As a part-time employee, you will play a crucial part in managing our financial health and supporting strategic decisions. You will have the opportunity to shape and refine our accounting processes as we continue to grow.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance, preferably within a small to medium-sized business environment. They should also have strong knowledge of Australian accounting regulations and taxation laws, as well as proficiency with accounting software (Xero) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Manage the general ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting regulations and taxation laws.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in our Sydney office one day per week (with potential for additional remote support as needed).
