Global Disputes Lawyer

This is a highly sought-after role for litigation lawyers with strong contract, commercial disputes and arbitrations experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience as a litigation lawyer, gained from a well-regarded firm, particularly in general commercial litigation and/or regulatory litigation.

A strong academic background and excellent communication skills are also essential. The ability to work confidently with others across the firm and maintain a pragmatic, friendly and down-to-earth approach is crucial.

The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing team and will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex matters in Australia and internationally.

  • High value and strategically significant contract/commercial disputes and arbitrations.
  • Class action defence and resolution.
  • Royal Commissions and Parliamentary inquiries.
  • Investigations and enforcement actions by ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, ACCC, law enforcement and various corruption investigation bodies.
  • Globally significant test case litigation brought by the Australian Government.
  • Sensitive internal investigations for major corporate clients spanning fraud, corruption and misconduct allegations.

Key responsibilities include working on high-value and strategically significant contract/commercial disputes and arbitrations, class action defence and resolution, Royal Commissions and Parliamentary inquiries, investigations and enforcement actions by ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, ACCC, law enforcement and various corruption investigation bodies, globally significant test case litigation brought by the Australian Government, and sensitive internal investigations for major corporate clients spanning fraud, corruption and misconduct allegations.

Requirements
  • Strong background as a litigation lawyer with 3-6 years of experience (PQE).
  • Experience gained from a well-regarded firm, particularly in general commercial litigation and/or regulatory litigation.
  • Excellent academic transcript.
  • Ability to confidently communicate with others across the firm and maintain a pragmatic, friendly and down-to-earth approach.
