We are seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to provide technical leadership and support to projects, teams and people within the energy space at Arup. As a technical expert, you will showcase your capability across various energy-based technologies and promote technical excellence within the team.

The role offers opportunities to work on comprehensive consultancy services for energy projects worldwide. Our experience spans feasibility studies, planning, design, supervision of construction, and project management of complex energy projects.

  • Provide technical expertise and peer review for energy projects
  • Offer technical input during feasibility, front-end engineering design, procurement, and owner's engineer project phases
  • Collaborate with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing direct technical support
  • Lead complex energy projects
  • Liaise with other teams undertaking energy projects, providing technical assistance

This position may be suitable for individuals with knowledge in areas like:

  • Hydrogen systems (green and blue hydrogen production)
  • Ammonia production plant design, development, and construction
  • Gas pipelines
  • Carbon Capture Storage
  • Energy from Waste

The ideal candidate will possess skills in project areas such as:

  • Feasibility design
  • Concept design
  • Front-end engineering design

Battery Storage, Solar PV, Wind, Pumped Hydro, Heat Pumps, Geothermal, Electricity Networks, Gas Networks, and Biomass knowledge are advantageous.
