Market Risk and Valuations Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Risk and Valuations Analyst to join our Sydney team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for pricing instruments, driving the Valuation Control agenda, and partnering with Traders and other stakeholders to ensure valuation verification is adequately addressed in all new business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing of instruments (Futures & Options)
  • Driving the Valuation Control agenda, ensuring new & emerging risks in various products and markets are identified, escalated and managed appropriately.
  • Partnering with Traders and other stakeholders to ensure valuation verification is adequately addressed in all new business activities.
  • Driving various technology and automation initiatives, working collaboratively with technology teams, utilising data tools (SQL, Python, VBA)
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience in Market Risk or Valuations
  • Good working knowledge of Derivatives / Options products
  • A strong maths / numerical background + relevant degree
  • A strong understanding of the fundamentals of valuation, risk management and accounting for exchange and over the counter cash and derivative financial instruments
  • First-rate Communication skills and the ability to "stand firm" as required
  • Working knowledge of VBA, SQL and/or Python
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of personalities & stakeholders
  • Full Australian working rights & fluent English skills
