About BHP

We are seeking a highly motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance team in Newman, Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our mobile fleet, including drills, excavators, and haul trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mobile equipment
  • Identify and rectify faults during inspections and follow specific maintenance programs
  • Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability
  • Demonstrate a focus on safety, achievement, and team engagement in all aspects of work

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in heavy mechanical maintenance, with experience working on Liebherr, CAT, Cummins, and/or Epiroc equipment. You will also have a commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
