
Comprehensive Forensic Mental Health Expert

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Forensic Mental Health Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of psychological services and advice on the management and treatment of patients. This includes specialist assessments, individual and group interventions, risk assessment, and risk management in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
Duties:
- Provides comprehensive psychological services and expert advice on patient management and treatment plans.
- Conducts thorough and accurate specialist assessments and reports as necessary.
- Develops and implements individualized and group intervention programs tailored to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to identify and manage patient risks.
- Contributes to clinical practice development and program implementation.
About You:
- Prior experience working in mental health facilities or forensic mental health services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of clinical forensic psychology, including forensic assessments and interventions with offenders, would be beneficial.
- Understanding of clinical neuropsychology, including functional deficit assessment, is desirable.
- Experience working with female offenders, particularly those with personality disorders, would be a significant asset.
- A strong understanding of current approaches to working with clients experiencing mental health issues in the forensic setting is required.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, mental health systems, and criminal justice systems is essential.
