Job Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing technical support and on-site expertise to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown support for a wide range of air compressors and power generators.">

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Service:
  2. Perform regular maintenance and preventative servicing of compressed air systems and diesel-powered generators.
  3. Troubleshoot, fault-find, and provide breakdown assistance on-site.
  4. Identify and communicate equipment improvements to customers and the team.

Service Administration & Customer Support:

  • Prepare service agreements and repair quotations from information provided.
  • Utilise systems to effectively manage and control work in progress.
  • Create work orders and parts requirements.
  • Raise purchase orders, invoices, and claims.
  • Schedule services and coordinate site mobilisation functions.
  • Process timesheets and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Address customer queries and provide technical support.
  • Maintain accurate client records, assets, and parts updates as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role (air compressors, generators, or related heavy equipment service experience highly advantageous).
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with hands-on diagnostic ability.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including the use of service systems and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with a proactive and safety-first approach.
