Service Expert

The role of Service Expert is a key position within our organisation. This Senior Technician will provide high-level technical support and on-site expertise to valued customers across a range of air compressors and power generators in Kalgoorlie and surrounding areas.

This senior role carries responsibilities for customer support, work planning, and service administration. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring efficient service delivery while building strong relationships with customers and mentoring junior technicians where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance and preventative servicing of compressed air systems and diesel-powered generators.
  • Troubleshoot, fault-find, and provide breakdown assistance on-site.
  • Identify and communicate equipment improvements to customers and the team.
  • Prepare service agreements and repair quotations from provided information.
  • Utilise systems to effectively manage and control work in progress.
  • Create work orders and parts requirements.
  • Raise purchase orders, invoices, and claims.
  • Schedule services and coordinate site mobilisation functions.
  • Process timesheets and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Address customer queries and provide technical support.
  • Maintain accurate client records, assets, and parts updates as required.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (air compressors, generators, or related heavy equipment service experience highly advantageous).
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with hands-on diagnostic ability.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including the use of service systems and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with a proactive and safety-first approach.
