Key Responsibilities
As a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting Senior Project Managers/Project Officers in planning, execution, and delivery of the program package(s).
- Managing project scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and procurement to achieve project objectives.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of assigned packages.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Monitoring and reporting project progress, identifying and reporting potential risks to implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Assisting Senior Project Managers/Project Officers in planning, updating, tracking, and reporting of budgets and forecasts related to work packages.
- Fostering strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
- Providing regular project updates and reports.
- Visiting project sites 1-2 times a month for progress inspection, site, and/or community meetings.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A construction/civil engineering background and relevant qualifications.
- Experience working in a Government environment or supporting Government projects.
- Previous experience dealing with multiple projects at varying degrees of completion while adhering to a strict deadline.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel intermittently as required (client will cover all travel expenses).
- Knowledge and experience in dealing with vulnerable or disadvantaged stakeholders.
What's on Offer
This contract is available for an initial 6-month term with likely extension options. Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
