We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bakery Manager in Training to join our team at Drakes Supermarkets.

About the Role

  • As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of bakery staff to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality products.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
  • With a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, you will work closely with other department managers to achieve business objectives and drive company success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of bakery staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to achieve business objectives and drive company success.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, manage stockroom operations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
  • Develop and implement effective rostering and scheduling systems to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize labor costs.
  • Work closely with the store manager to achieve business objectives and drive company success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail bakery or management role, with a strong focus on customer service and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to improve business performance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
