About the Role:As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in the Gold Coast area. You will work closely with our clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences, and develop personalized care plans to ensure their well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication.
- Assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Developing and implementing care plans in consultation with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, and promoting their social inclusion and participation in community activities.
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card
- Blue Card preferred
- Certificate 3 in Disability Support or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Driver's license and reliable transport
- Fully COVID vaccinated as per QLD Health Regulations
- Flu Vaccination
- Valid rights to work in Australia (Passport, Birth Cert., etc.)
- Manual Handling Training and Hoist experience
- 20 to 40 hours per week
- Weekly salary ranging from $800 to $2,000
- Weekdays - $30 per hour
- Saturdays - $40.41 per hour
- Sundays - $51.95 per hour
- Public Holidays - $63.50 per hour
