Role Overview:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be working with individuals who have complex mental health challenges to help them reach their full potential. This involves conducting functional assessments and developing behaviour support plans that cater to the individual's needs.

This role requires self-motivation, passion for supporting individuals with complex needs, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess the necessary experience and qualifications to be deemed suitable as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.

The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of individuals, conducting functional assessments, evaluating and developing behaviour support plans, and creating evidence-based recommendations while working in consultation with a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting functional assessments to identify the individual's strengths and weaknesses
  • Developing and implementing behaviour support plans that cater to the individual's needs
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including families, carers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Providing coaching and training to teams on behaviour support practices
