We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as an Orderly at Flinders Medical Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cleaning services to all departments, wards, and public areas
  • Ensure safe handling of chemical and/or hazardous substances during cleaning duties
  • Identify and record any problems related to cleaning services and/or safety
  • Decontaminate surfaces after initial clinical waste spillage removal by clinical staff
  • Perform heavy lifting and walk long distances as required
  • Service disposal rooms/bins and remove dirty linen

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare facility is highly desirable
  • Must hold a valid Working with Children Card and be willing to obtain a National Police Check
  • Comply with South Australia Health Services Vaccination policy
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
  • Genuine interest in working with and caring for people
