Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a highly skilled nursing professional responsible for leading the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of clinical trials and research projects related to gastrointestinal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert nursing leadership in the development and execution of clinical trials and research projects focused on gastrointestinal health
  2. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of clinical practice while driving improved patient outcomes
  3. Lead evidence-based practice and contribute to the advancement of gastroenterology care through cutting-edge research
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Minimum five years post-registration experience in acute medical nursing, with postgraduate qualifications in Gastroenterology or equivalent
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework, with a commitment to excellence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with knowledge of the practice development framework in clinical practice
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical trials management or experience as a study coordinator, with a strong understanding of HRCC and RGU submissions
  • Contribution to the development or change of clinical practice grounded in evidence-based research
