About the Role

Jalygurr-Guwan Aboriginal Children Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project and Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our early childhood centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of strategic priorities, policies, and administrative processes.
  • Lead the research, writing, and submission of project grant applications and the preparation of reports and acquittals.
  • Review and implement policies and procedures for the service.
  • Conduct audits to identify gaps in policy, procedures, and employment contracts.
  • Support the General Manager with secretariat duties, including the preparation of papers for director board meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for fundraising, grants, and income-generating activities.
  • Coordinate events and activities to engage families with the centre.
  • Develop and implement processes for formal feedback from families regarding their children's care.
  • Support recruitment processes and the identification and implementation of processes to support the retention of centre staff.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience using finance management software such as Xero.
  • Excellent project coordination and administration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional written and close-reading skills.
  • Excellent time management and follow-through on priorities.
  • Strong computer skills and competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Openness and enthusiasm to learn new tasks and engage in on-the-job learning.
  • Great people skills, cultural competency, and ability to contribute to and collaborate with a wide range of people.
  • Experience in fundraising, project management, or grant administration.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or bachelor's degree from an accredited college, tertiary institution, or university.
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably early childhood.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $79,000 - $87,000 (full-time) plus 17.5% annual leave loading on base salary.
  • 11% superannuation.
  • Benefits including 6 weeks annual leave per annum, pro rata full-time.
  • Salary sacrifice packaging available at the discretion of the employee.
  • Location: Broome, Western Australia - must be prepared to live and work in Rubibi (Broome).
