Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure business goals are met.
    • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
    • Collaborate with production managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
    • Perform variance analysis and report on key financial metrics.
    • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and compliance documentation.
  • About You:
    • Hold a tertiary degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Have CPA/CA qualification (or in progress) as desirable.
    • Be immediately available or available on short notice.
    • Have proven experience in management accounting, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
    • Possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience with accounting software, ERP systems like SAP being a plus.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
    • Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
