About the Role

We are seeking an experienced secondary education tutor to join our team at the Kip McGrath Education Centre in Coorparoo, QLD. As a tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in English and Mathematics, using our proven methodologies and custom-built software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students using our evidence-based teaching methods
  • Tutor students in a positive and caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
  • Use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons, minimizing prep time
  • Be available to commit to every class scheduled
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and goals online
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to parents
  • Work up to 2-3 sessions per day, Monday to Saturday

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A teaching degree or be in the final year of your degree
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A friendly, professional, and personable manner
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • A positive and vibrant personality
  • Confidence using software and computers
  • A genuine love for learning and teaching
  • Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to teach face-to-face in our Coorparoo Centre and online as required
