About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to realise your passion for teaching literacy and numeracy in a small group setting.

You will help students grow their confidence and meet their goals every day by providing tailored support and guidance.

  • Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology, promoting a love for learning and academic achievement.
  • Tutor students in a positive and caring manner, fostering self-esteem and self-worth.
  • Quickly learn how to use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons, minimising prep time and maximising productivity.
  • Commit to scheduled classes, ensuring consistency and reliability for our students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and parents through strong rapport-building skills.
  • Accurately record students' progress and goals online on a weekly basis.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
  • Work up to 2-3 sessions per day, Monday to Saturday, enjoying a flexible schedule that suits your needs.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A teaching degree or be in the final year of your degree.
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A friendly, professional, and personable approach when interacting with students and parents.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
  • A positive and vibrant personality that inspires students and colleagues alike.
  • Confidence using software and computers, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • A genuine love for learning and teaching, driving your passion for academic excellence.
  • Reliable attention to detail and strong organisational skills, ensuring seamless lesson planning and delivery.
  • Ability and willingness to teach both face-to-face in our Coorparoo Centre and online as required by management, once satisfactory training is completed.
