Job Description

Maintenance technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems and equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and carrying out repairs to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out programmed maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Use rigging and dogging skills to assist with safe and efficient lifting operations
  • Perform breakdown repairs and troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Assist in the maintenance of conveyors, ship loaders, stackers, and associated mobile equipment

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant trade qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Rigging and dogging tickets and demonstrated experience in using these skills safely and effectively
  • A forklift license and certifications in EWP, confined space, and working at heights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
