Job Role: Documentation Specialist

The role of the Documentation Specialist involves collaborating with senior archival professionals to develop and implement effective records management systems across local government entities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Archiving and declassifying physical and electronic records to ensure compliance with State Records Act 1998 and GA39 regulations
  • Creating hardcopy records for transfer and electronic lodgment of files to offsite storage facilities
  • Providing access to archives and responding to reference inquiries from staff and external stakeholders
  • Performing daily mail management tasks, including sorting, classifying, indexing, registering, and actioning incoming mail using TRIM
  • Maintaining and extracting data/information from databases, EDRMS, and spreadsheet applications
  • Demonstrating a commitment to customer service and ability to prioritize staff needs

About You:

Candidates will require experience in a similar documentation role, knowledge of Electronic Document Records Management Systems (EDRMS) such as TRIM, proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
