Position Overview
This role involves the daily management of operations at a waste processing facility, focusing on the loading of refuse into transport vehicles designated for landfill disposal. The facility handles a significant volume of waste and operates extended hours to serve commercial clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the coordination of Front End Loader and Excavator operators to ensure efficient process flow.
- Operate Front End Loaders and Excavators, providing essential ground support and guidance.
- Ensure the completion of service tasks on a daily basis.
- Maintain all vehicles under your supervision in a safe and presentable state, including conducting inspections and audits.
- Load compaction trailers as required.
- Drive and operate vehicles safely.
- Perform daily vehicle checks in accordance with log book standards.
- Manually address any spillages to maintain site cleanliness.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Front End Loader/Excavator certification.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating teams within a structured setting.
- Familiarity with waste management and recycling processes is advantageous.
- Current Victorian HC truck license is preferred.
- Possession of a Victorian High Risk Forklift License is a plus.
- Background in heavy equipment operation with mechanical and electrical knowledge is beneficial.
- Demonstrated proactivity and agility in work practices.
- Commitment to flexibility and adaptability.
- Understanding of Workplace OH&S regulations.
- First Aid certification is required.
