Civil & Structural Engineer - Major Rail Projects

We are seeking an experienced Civil & Track Design Engineer to join our team at Bayside Group, a leading national engineering design consultant specialising in major road and railway infrastructure works in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the design manager in implementing projects and mentoring junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
- Detail design of permanent way, with a strong understanding of the VLine or MTM Rail Infrastructure environment.
- Lead day-to-day design activities for track design and associated works, including earthworks, drainage, and flood assessments.
- Knowledge of track maintenance practices and construction methodologies, with the ability to consider and define requirements within design development.
- Develop innovative approaches to solve new problems encountered.
- National Engineering Register (NER) with the ability to gain a Statement of Competency with VLine or MTM.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in design or construction of track and railway infrastructure, related to level crossing removal and associated works.
- Experience in flood assessment, drainage, and surface drainage design.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, with a dedicated approach to meeting project deadlines.
- Strong understanding of AutoCAD and Microstation, with experience in Open Rail and Open Road highly regarded.
