The Griffith University's Artificial Heart Frontiers Program (AHFP) is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technology Specialist to join our team. This role is a key position for the AHFP and will work within the Biorheology Research Laboratory at our Gold Coast campus.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, fixed-term position based on our Gold Coast campus. As a Cardiovascular Technology Specialist, you will lead quality systems implementation, supervise device appraisal, and develop test systems that mimic realistic physiological-use scenarios to facilitate potential regulatory approval of novel technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with academic, healthcare, and industry partners to develop advanced artificial hearts and related technologies.
- Implement quality systems and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards for medical device development.
- Supervise the appraisal of devices and develop test systems to validate their performance.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A PhD or equivalent qualifications/work experience in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Experience working with medical devices or mechanical systems that involved systems design, prototyping, validation, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of regulations and industry standards for medical device development including but not limited to ISO.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary in the range $84,449 - $99,915 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation.
