Role Summary

As an Automotive Expert at Inchcape, you will be responsible for providing general servicing and maintenance of vehicles, diagnosing and fixing technical problems, and liaising with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers. You will also be required to complete all work as per Manufacturer Repair Times Guide and Inchcape Automotive Retail standards, road test vehicles, and ensure all vehicle servicing logbooks are accurately completed and signed off on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general servicing and maintenance of vehicles
  • Diagnose and fix technical problems with the vehicle
  • Liaise with the Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers are made aware of issues that are outside of the normal servicing requirements
  • Completing all work as per Manufacturer Repair Times Guide and Inchcape Automotive Retail standards
  • Road testing vehicles
  • Ensure all vehicle servicing logbooks are accurately completed and signed off on
  • Conducting quality checks on all work

Requirements

  • Enjoy working in a busy service centre
  • Have a current Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate
  • Is committed and passionate about their trade
  • Has a good eye for detail
  • Has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Has excellent organisational skills
  • A current driver's licence
