Lead Auditor and Assurance Specialist

The role of the Lead Auditor and Assurance Specialist is to oversee all activities, ensuring high-quality auditing and assurance standards for various sectors in the Australian economy.

This position requires a senior-level individual with experience in auditing industry and a strong working knowledge of audit and assurance standards. The successful candidate will be able to make sound commercial judgments, understand drivers of audit quality, and influence effectively.

About this Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced auditor to lead our team and contribute to international auditing standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining auditing and assurance standards, engaging with domestic and international stakeholders, and overseeing internal management to align with statutory objectives.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in auditing industry

  • Proven ability to make sound commercial judgments
  • Familiarity with recent developments in sustainability reporting standards
  • Able to bring strategic perspective to standard development
  • Understands drivers of audit quality and influences effectively
