Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

This role is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead the preparation of statutory accounts, manage group consolidations, provide technical accounting guidance, and ensure financial reporting compliance.

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will have a strong background in a chartered accounting firm, either in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier firm, with a focus on IFRS/AASB. You will be able to identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

You will thrive in a fast-paced organisation with a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Full working rights are required, including Australian citizenship, PR, or Defacto Visa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts - Lead the preparation of annual and interim financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
  • Group Consolidations - Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and compliance with IFRS.
  • Technical Accounting Advisory - Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including business combinations, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and financial instruments.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance - Prepare and review financial reports for senior management, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
  • Audit Coordination - Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring the timely completion of audits and resolving any technical accounting queries.
