The role of Marine Construction Specialist is a key position in the delivery of complex marine construction projects. The successful candidate will lead and manage engineering teams to ensure the safe and successful completion of these projects.
Job DescriptionAs a Marine Construction Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of precast intake structures, laying pipelines, and coordinating offshore piling, drilling, and grouting works. You will also provide technical guidance to the construction delivery team to support the delivery of this unique multi-disciplinary package of marine construction works.
- Programmatically schedule the works
- Plan and review heavy lift studies
- Weekly and monthly reporting
- Cost forecasting and managing budgets
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in marine construction or offshore infrastructure delivery, with a background in piling, heavy lifting, marine logistics, tunnelling or underwater installations. They will also possess at least 5 years of experience in a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer role within civil/marine environments in Australia for contractors.
A minimum Bachelor's degree in construction (civil/structural/marine) or related field is required, along with strong organisational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. A deep understanding of HS&E standards and best practices is essential, as well as the ability to operate with confidence and authority on technically challenging scopes.
