About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Supervisor to join our Events team at McMahon Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise site work, personnel, and subcontractors to ensure effective project management.
  • Develop and review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Risk Assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Train and mentor staff on project sites to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Support toolbox meetings and other communications relevant to the project.
  • Implement project-specific health, safety, and environmental plans to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Check and prepare reports, designs, and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Capture all project works into a detailed diary and communicate to the project team.
  • Notify the Project Manager of variations and extensions of time (EOTs) or delays.
  • Support negotiating contracts and securing permits and licenses.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance, including licenses, insurances, and other requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey instructions and information to team members and clients.
  • Leadership abilities, with demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team, delegating tasks, and managing staff effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and address any issues that arise during events promptly and effectively.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to efficiently manage time to ensure all aspects of event setup, execution, and teardown are completed within scheduled timelines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and team members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Dependability, with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
  • Tickets and licenses, including a Construction White Card and a current driver's license.
  • Desirable skills, including working at heights, forklift, scissor, and boom lift operations.
  • Personal requirements, including the ability to pass a drug and alcohol and fit-for-work assessment.
