Senior Android Development Opportunity

 

  • The candidate will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of high-quality Android applications from concept to launch.
  • They will make architectural and technology decisions aligned with industry best practices (MVVM, Jetpack, Kotlin Coroutines).
  • The role involves establishing and enforcing coding standards, code quality practices, and CI/CD integration to ensure consistent development velocity.
  • Collaboration with offshore and onshore teams is crucial to deliver high-quality products and meet business objectives.
  • The technical roadmap and sprint planning, estimations, and release strategies are owned by the candidate who must have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Release management and app submission to the Play Store require a smooth deployment process.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • The ideal candidate has 6+ years' experience in Android development, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Expertise in Kotlin and the Android SDK, with strong knowledge of Android Architecture Components, Jetpack, MVVM, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger) is essential.
  • The candidate must be proficient in integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and working with authentication frameworks (OAuth, JWT).
  • Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and mobile testing frameworks is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable architecture are necessary.
  • Mentoring engineers and working with offshore or remote teams are key responsibilities.
  • Published apps on the Play Store and a solid understanding of mobile app performance, monitoring, and analytics are expected.
