About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter Mechanic to join our Underground team in Townsville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing our LV & HV underground infrastructure, including cables and transformers.
Job DescriptionThis permanent opportunity offers a competitive salary package from $108,859 per annum + 14.75% superannuation. You will work on various items of electrical equipment and plant, with experience in line work and/or HV cable jointing preferred. Previous experience in the distribution network industry is advantageous.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
- Current 'C' class open Drives Licence.
