The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to join the Palmview State Special School team. As a key member of the school leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Principal to develop and implement a shared educational vision that focuses on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deputising for the Principal, upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity, and embedding socially just practices in daily school life. You will also be expected to set high standards for student and staff performance, actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development, and form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision
- Deputise for the Principal when required
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life
- Set high standards for student and staff performance
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business
The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You will also have a strong understanding of the Queensland education system and a commitment to providing high-quality education to students.
