Experienced Senior Environmental Consultant Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our team as a Senior Environmental Consultant.
This role involves undertaking project work, mentoring junior staff, and developing client relationships regionally. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in environmental impact assessment and management principles, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on best practice environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal teams.
- Manage environmental approvals projects across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
- Assist in developing and implementing team business plans and strategies, driving growth and success.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
- Work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects, leveraging expertise and resources to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality, clear reports that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Occasionally travel for field assessments and site walkovers, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Town Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years' experience in environmental roles within consulting, industry, or regulation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary projects, with strong leadership and project management skills.
- Client management and business development skills are highly valued, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Experience in sectors such as linear infrastructure, mining/resources, renewables, power, or agribusiness, with a strong understanding of the associated challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Australian citizenship or rights to work in Australia, with a valid passport.
