Research Position in Quantum Information and Optimization

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to contribute to a high-impact research project in quantum information and optimization. This position is part of the Australian Research Council funded Discovery Project titled "Exploiting duality in quantum relative entropy optimisation".

The successful candidate will be involved in developing new mathematical theory and designing and implementing optimization algorithms relevant to quantum information, under the guidance of leading researchers, Dr James Saunderson and Professor Hamza Fawzi.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career researcher passionate about advancing the theory and application of quantum information and optimization.

We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in:

  • Mathematical optimization
  • Quantum information theory
  • Computational mathematics or related fields
