Job Description

As a Medical Equipment Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff within the Central Sterilising Service Department.

Your responsibilities will include providing all aspects of the sterilising process in accordance with AS/NZ 4187 guidelines and Peninsula Health policies. This will involve promoting a safe environment in line with legislative requirements and health policies.

To be successful in this position, you must hold a Certificate III in Health - Sterilizing Practice for Technicians or equivalent. You must also be available for a minimum of one 8-hour shift per week, Monday to Friday, and demonstrate commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and discretion.

Additionally, you must be willing to maintain and advance your knowledge and skills relevant to the position and adhere to the health organisation's immunisation policy.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

You will need to have a strong understanding of AS/NZ 4187 guidelines and health policies, as well as the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
