Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers. Your primary focus will be on building and managing internal and customer-facing React applications, as well as the Python/Django API that underpins them.

As a full stack developer, you will be comfortable bridging the gap between back and front end, even if you find yourself spending more time in one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage internal and customer-facing React applications
  • Develop and maintain the Python/Django API that underpins the React applications
  • Improve the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure
  • Manage and scale our infrastructure to ensure it keeps pace with rapid expansion
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience as a software engineer, having worked on production-grade web applications both as a solo contributor and as part of a team
  • Comfort working across a range of technology up and down the stack
  • Working technical fluency in Python and Django, or similar back-end languages
  • React or similar front-end frameworks
  • RESTful API design and implementation
  • RDBMS fundamentals
Nice to Have

While not essential, experience with the following technologies would be beneficial:

  • Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
  • Advanced mathematics concepts such as statistics, vector calculus, or linear algebra
  • Physical hardware deployed on-prem or within data centres
