Job Title: Oshc Coordinator

The Uniting Church in Australia is a large uniquely Australian Christian denomination with heritage from historical reformed evangelical denominations. We have around 250 congregations and provide various services such as schools, colleges, and community services.

This role involves managing the daily operations of the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) to ensure Regulatory compliance and delivery of high-quality OSHC programs and care for children outside school hours and vacation times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Nominated Supervisor for the OSHC, ensuring Regulatory compliance and meeting the National Quality Framework.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports to demonstrate a high standard of ethical and professional practice.
  • Maintain a safe environment for children, families, employees, and visitors.
  • Support staff in developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Nurture professional networks and associations to maintain contemporary awareness of trends in early childhood education.
  • Ensure service improvement strategies support reconciliation and inclusion priorities.
  • Protect children's safety and wellbeing by implementing the Safe Church Child Protection Framework.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability and guide children's behaviour positively.
  • Participate in care and education duties and undertake cleaning tasks as required.
  • Facilitate service reconciliation activities and build relationships with key community stakeholders.
  • Monitor the implementation of the My Time, Our Place Framework.
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager, Early learning and Operations, to achieve best practice and quality outcomes.
  • Manage complex matters and liaise regularly with the School Principal.
  • Develop and deliver the operational plan for the Synodal term.
  • Ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
