Operating Theatre and Central Sterilising Department Nursing Team Lead

Nursing Unit Managers in Operating Theatres and Central Sterilising Departments are responsible for leading and coordinating the nursing and multi-disciplinary care team. They monitor and manage business and management functions, ensuring good patient flow processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and co-ordinate the nursing and multi-disciplinary care team at the ward or unit level.
- Monitor and manage the business and management functions and processes of the ward or unit.
- As the leader of the unit, demonstrate capability through attitude, skills, behaviour, and attributes.
Candidates must possess broad nursing/midwifery experience and knowledge. They should understand and accept that patients are the central focus of service delivery. Professional integrity, ethical conduct, accountability, advocacy, enabling others, and cultivation of collaborative relationships and effective teamwork are essential qualities for this role.
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written, verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services in the critical care environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or health management with minimum of five years post graduate nursing clinical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit are managed to deliver safe and efficient health care within available resources.
