Editorial AI Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Editorial AI Quality Assurance expert to take on this critical role. As an integral part of our editorial operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our AI-powered systems.

About the Role

This is a challenging position that requires a strong understanding of journalistic principles and ethics, as well as experience in QA testing. You will work closely with our AI Prompt Engineer to provide detailed feedback on system performance and help refine and improve our AI tools.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive testing using authentic journalistic content and newsroom scenarios to evaluate AI tool performance and reliability.
  • Assessing AI responses against editorial guidelines, checking for factual accuracy, contextual relevance, appropriate tone, and ethical compliance.
  • Partnering with the AI Prompt Engineer to provide detailed, actionable feedback that refines and improves system performance.
  • Designing and executing regression testing procedures as AI models evolve, documenting performance changes and maintaining quality benchmarks.
  • Championing quality best practices and upholding the integrity of AI-assisted journalism across all deployments.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of journalistic principles and ethics.
  • Proven QA experience, preferably in media, technology, or content-focused environments.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a methodical approach to testing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and NLP (advantageous).
