Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Leadership Professional to undertake formal training and provide high-quality medical leadership services. You will contribute towards decision-making on issues with a health service-wide impact, while being supported by senior leaders.

The Position Objectives:

  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy development across the organisation
  • Lead, support, promote and manage organisational change and the effective delivery of all clinical services
  • Provide advice on medical issues and standards of clinical practice across the organisation
  • Evaluate performance in relation to clinical standards and patient care
  • Participate in training activities and develop your skills as a medical leader
  • Work closely with senior leaders to provide day-to-day medical administrative services as needed
  • Manage or take an active role in appropriate projects of benefit to the organisation as agreed by the supervisor
  • Liaise with internal and external healthcare professionals as required when managing projects
  • A satisfactory progression towards becoming a skilled medical leader

Eligibility and Qualifications: Requirements

  • Eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the relevant authority
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a range of medical disciplines
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
