Job Overview

This is a senior-level role that oversees the planning, execution, and management of facilities operations and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading teams to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaises with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for facilities management.
  • Evaluates and negotiates contracts with external service providers.
  • Establishes and monitors budgetary controls, allocates expenditures, and coordinates major construction activities.
  • Ensures adherence to contract specifications, insurance requirements, and local building codes.
  • Reviews and approves architectural/engineering drawings.
  • Participates in organizational strategic planning and ensures appropriate skills are available when needed.
  • Fosters relationships with other engineering organizations to stay up-to-date on developments in allied fields.
  • Interprets and executes organizational policies and initiatives.
  • Maintains quality systems and promotes values and ethics.
  • Hires and manages staff, conducts performance evaluations, and provides training and development opportunities.
  • Develops and implements departmental and individual performance goals, reviews progress, and champions team members' success.
Requirements:
  • Citizenship of the United States or Australia.
  • A valid US TS/SCI with Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or technical equivalent, and at least 8 years of directly related facilities experience. Alternatively, 16 years of progressively complex experience may be considered, with 4 years of specialized military experience in the relevant field counting towards the educational requirement.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, decision-making ability, and strong leadership skills.
