Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the AMS Cairns region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of our community.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing comprehensive primary health clinical services, including the development and implementation of strategies to manage quality and risk associated with clinical services.
  • They will also provide clinical leadership and governance, including line leadership and development of multidisciplinary nursing, midwifery and care teams.
  • Additionally, they will be responsible for clinic operational and financial oversight of two disparately located clinics.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing clinical leadership and governance within a primary health care setting.
  2. Developing and implementing strategies to manage quality and risk associated with clinical services.
  3. Leading multidisciplinary teams and developing staff skills and knowledge.
  4. Managing operational and financial aspects of the clinics.
  5. Ensuring compliance with relevant accreditation and legislative requirements.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum 2 years' experience in a similar setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Immunisation certificate appropriate to employment within a Queensland ACCHO setting.
