We are seeking an experienced Audit Specialist to join our team at BSI. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting on-site audits against the requirements of relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) or ESG, GHG, SRA, or any related management system assessment.

Your primary objective will be to provide expertise, produce surveillance and initial audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions. You will also promote the BSI product offering and solutions to our clients with the view of improving their business performance, managing risk, and enhancing overall excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Undertake management system audits in accordance with BSI requirements and our Client Promise.
  • Prepare audit reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the audit decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed time frame.
  • Lead audit teams as required ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with Clients and within the team.
  • Establish and develop an effective partnership, which secures the commercial relationship and encourages opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction with clients in your portfolio.
  • Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met.
  • Plan/schedule workloads to make the best use of own time and maximize revenue-earning activity.

  • Maintain and develop auditor skills and technical and management system standards knowledge.
  • Provide technical support for sustainability project/product range such as, but not limited to ISO14064, ISO14067, Green House Gas (GHG), Carbon Footprint, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and other relevant Sustainability Report Assurance (SRA) based national and international standards.
  • Play a pivotal role in auditing organizations or products to evaluate their performance in relation to their sustainable development goals.
  • Provide technical support to clients through business development, sales, and customer service staff.
  • Act as a brand Ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules, and promoting BSI services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance.
Candidate Specification:
  • Qualifications and/or experience in relevant industry or discipline and have a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and systems.
  • Experience with working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards (preferred)
  • Auditor with ISO standard knowledge in ESG and GHG (preferred)
  • Experience with quality management and/or environmental/health & safety management (preferred)
  • External/Third-party management systems auditing experience (preferred)
  • Commercial understanding of industry compliance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail
  • Be self-motivated, flexible, and have excellent time management/planning skills.
  • Can work under pressure.

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
